Pole Ballet fuses the beauty and grace of ballet with the energy, impact and fun of acrobatic pole. Spins, climbs, holds and inversions are combined with ballet inspired linking moves.
As well as being great fun, Pole Ballet dance classes are a great workout: they tone the whole body, increase aerobic and anaerobic fitness, and improve posture and flexibility.

The Pole Ballet concept was developed by dancer and fitness professional Kay Herm. In her pole practice Kay saw a synergy between the principles of pole and ballet, which led her to design this dynamic form of movement.
Pole Ballet classes start with a warm up, ballet technique and conditioning exercises; the main part of the class consists of pole exercises and combinations with a ballet feel. The class ends with a thorough stretch section.

Pole Ballet Courses
Courses are 5 weeks long and cost £95 if booked at least 2 weeks before the start of the course. Regular price: £110. Each class is 90 minutes long and there are a maximum of 16 students per class (max. 2 per pole), so everyone receives individual attention.
At this level you will learn spins, climbing, transitions, ballet poses and a combination
In level 2 you will learn new spins and we will continue work on climbing and static poses.
At this level we start working on inversions (upside down moves). You need to be able to climb and to do a range of spins and static holds in order to start with level 3.
In level 4 you will learn new inversions, new spins and new, more challenging combinations.
This course introduces pre-advanced pole technique. You will learn more complex inversions and combinations. In order to enrol on this course you need be able to do an extended butterfly and a cross ankle release.
Level 6 & Level 7
In level 6 we start working on advanced pole moves, such as handsprings, and advanced combinations. Level 7 builds on level 6 with even more advanced moves and combos.

Please note that this will probably not be the first class of the course; so the other students already had a few lessons and we will go through the exercises more quickly than at the beginning of the course.
