Join Cuban dance masters Lazaro & Paola Lopez as they share their knowledge of the dance, the music, and the culture.

EVERY SUNDAY14:30 - 16:30
The classes will run in 6 week sessions to allow structured and progressive learning, and they will introduce you to Cuba’s wonderful dance culture and rhythms.
We will cover the traditional and Afro-Cuban dance styles like Son, Danzon, Cha-Cha-Cha, Mambo, Conga, Orishas, Arara, Palo-Congo, Rumba, and applying Rumba & Afro-Cuban movements to Salsa, giving you the opportunity to develop and broaden your dance skills, your style and improvisation on the dance floor.
All classes will focus on building confidence in all the moves, developing a good technique and style, body movement and isolation techniques, feeling the rhythm and musical interpretation.
First 6 week course:

Lazaro and Paola are regarded as ones of the foremost specialists of Afro-Cuban dance, music, cultural and religious traditions.
Lazaro, is a graduate of the renowned Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA) in Havana, where his dance training covered every aspect of Cuban dance, including Contemporary, Classic, Folklore, Popular and Salsa, specialising in Afro-Cuban. He worked as a principal dancer with some of the best Cuban folkloric dance companies and his combination of natural talent and technique, together with his ability to blend sharp and smooth movements in his dance style, make him undoubtedly one of the most brilliant and distinguished dancers of Afro-Cuban in the world.
Paola, who is a certified teacher and assessor in adult education, has trained in a variety of Salsa styles, and has studied Cuban popular and folkloric dance forms alongside Lazaro. She is an excellent teacher, who has a dedicated and patient approach, and a profound knowledge of Afro-Cuban culture, music and dance.
Lazaro and Paola’s first-rate pedagogy, combined to great attention to detail, style and technique, enables them to help their students attain greater fluidity in their body movement, a higher degree of musical interpretation and the ability to blend a variety of rhythms into their dancing.
